They shoot

Israel, UN and surroundings

Only fools never contradict themselves, Plato claimed. But now it seems we’ve become incredibly intelligent…
Today, we have a fitting example that, in principle, shouldn’t divide us into factions, as is the case with Russia after a couple of decades of Kremlin propaganda, mindlessly and fanatically embraced by our own confused camarades.

In principle, in this other scenario, we should all agree, and yet…

The most fitting example can be found in what’s happening in Israel and its surroundings.

We hold a grudge against the Israelis because they shoot at our troops in the UNIFIL mission. And yet, we are “anti-globalists.”

The UN was created by the “Allies” – against us – during the war. From the UN arise and develop the structures that have propelled multinational corporations, migrations, and even the “woke” movement.

Israel slaughters Arabs, and Hamas, Islamic Jihad, and Tehran oppose them. And yet, the nationalist area is anti-immigration and constantly talks about the Islamic threat. Therefore, those who don’t consider Israel the “lesser evil,” as some do with Russia, identify over there with those who disturb their peace here. Are we confused?

The question is: Do we have to be schizophrenic, trying to reconcile the irreconcilable, or alternatively, choose the supposed enemy of our enemy? Can’t we simply be clear-headed and decisive in our positioning without becoming fans of someone else?

Can we support the Italian soldiers targeted by the Israelis because they are Italian, without thereby supporting the UN?
Can we support populations being massacred by oppressors without rooting for the partisan and jihadist groups that claim to represent them? And can we particularly despise the false friends of those populations who collaborate with their oppressors?

Can we assert principles, values, choices, without getting caught in the schemes of factions that, like in the game books so popular a few decades ago, impose divergent paths on us, which inevitably, due to the intertwined structure of the plots, lead to the same systemic end? Israel, Hamas, Russia, NATO, etc., always lead us to the same systemic criminal unity.

Can we be ourselves and stand on the side of our civilization, justice, and honor, without allowing ourselves to be contaminated by those who occupy the field and usurp the causes they claim to defend?
