It’s the occasion to return to oneself
The tragicomedy in Syria has cleared the field of bipolar (“multi-polar”) and antagonistic delusions. There is no front, neither compact nor sketched, outside of propaganda sold by the pound and the illusions of those who live by delegating to exotic avengers to take revenge for their daily frustrations.
Reality is much simpler
There are mafioso powers that spend their time dividing up the spoils, corroding lands and peoples.
At times, there are peoples who respond to aggressions with dignity and heroism.
The godfathers hand out “support” to these peoples but corrode them: some from the front, others from behind.
What matters to us are not the godfathers, but the peoples
False, bizarre, deleterious, necrotic theorems urge us to cheer for or against a people depending on their godfather.
It doesn’t matter if we fail to understand that the godfathers are complicit with each other; the logic of supporting the godfathers rather than the peoples is still aberrant, even for the less intelligent.
It is shameful not to support the Ukrainian people and their glorious war of defense against a centuries-old tyrant because their betrayer-godfather is American.
It is shameful not to support the Syrian people and their long war against aggressive jihadism because their betrayer-godfather is Russian.
None of them chose the godfather who will betray them: they all ended up in a vice, each threatened by a different jaw of the same mechanism.
Let’s return to ourselves!
If in decades of tension, in Italy we had adopted the way of thinking now flaunted by many, we should have allowed ourselves to be killed without responding to the Red Front (which in fact served the USA much more than us), and today we should not go to honor the memory of our fallen, because they would have been objectively wrong in geopolitics, following the bizarre reasoning of recent years.
Or we should have supported every form of anti-communism, even against the Non-Aligned.
In short, we would have had to choose what kind of foolish servant to be and which master to lick.
Just as today’s fashionable “thinking” goes.
There is life
Life prevails over the psychotic ramblings of the disillusioned, of embittered boomers who see the world through the prefab lenses of pseudo-ideologies that are schematic, banal, abstract, and deadly.
Life is simple. Wherever there are peoples who are threatened and who have not been extinguished, they fight generously. And it is not the “front” they are forced to consume their epic tragedy within a global gangster system that defines them, but the way they fight, what emerges from their struggle.
If these peoples are European, or attacked because they might be pro-European or otherwise useful to Europe’s recovery, and especially if among the fighters there are, emerge, or express themselves, ideal elements linking them, even as minorities, to a “cursed” past that unites us, well, those peoples – the peoples, not the governments – must be supported unconditionally.
From their example, we must draw our strength to revolutionize the Europe we must not only defend but certainly must defend while ceasing to sabotage it by heeding the cacophony of pipers formatted by the psychological warfare and brainwashing laboratories of both Russians and Americans (who are historically and organically synergistic).
