DMYTRO YAROSH: NEITHER I, NOR MY COMRADES WILL NEVER BECOME ORDINARY UKRAINIAN POLITICIANS
On April 4 the leader of “Rights Sector” Dmytro Yarosh gave the first press conference in the status of the candidate for President of Ukraine.
Speaking to a large number of Ukrainian and foreign journalists, Dmytro Yarosh outlined the priorities facing him in person and led by him political force. He noted that “Right Sector” is a human rights and law enforcement organization that set the goal to protect Ukrainians from the regime of the internal occupation, and that this first task was honorably fulfilled.
“Our mission at this stage – to resist Russian aggression, defend the Ukrainian people and build new – free and fair – Ukrainian state. For the sake of fulfilling this mission I run for the President of Ukraine. And it’s not just a march to power. Neither I, nor my comrades will never become ordinary Ukrainian politicians. We don’t care about interests and chairs, privileges and feeders, integration into the system will never satisfy us. We strive for truly revolutionary change,” said Dmytro Yarosh.
According to him, these changes in all spheres of life should lead to economic growth and revolutionary in essence raising the social life standards of Ukrainians.
“Russia’s foreign aggression and internal counterrevolutionary attempts – revenge of the old system behind the new faces of the new government – these are the threats, on overcoming of which is focused Right Sector” and I, as a presidential candidate,” said Yarosh. He said: in order to stop Russia we should soon resume the nuclear status of Ukraine, establish effective relations with NATO, radically reform the armed forces and intelligence services of Ukraine.
Dmytro Yarosh also said that one of his main tasks as a contender for the presidency and led by him political power is purification of the authorities, their lustration and change of relations between the government and the society.
“We will not allow the judicial and law enforcement systems to be aimed at repression of the society and also disguise the corruption schemes in power, as it was under the previous regime. Accordingly, power structures should undergo rapid cleansing from performers of criminal orders and pro-Yanukovych elements. We also insist on the broad adoption of the jury and enactment of gun laws that will enable us to protect the citizens in the physical and legal sense,” said Dmytro Yarosh.
The candidate for a key position in the state has also proposed a formula that will transform Ukraine into the territory of economic prosperity. This, he says, is revolutionary reduction of tax burden on citizens and businesses. Yarosh suggests reducing the number of taxes to three, and their size – to 10 %. Owing to this, as said Yarosh, will awake business activity, and the country will become the most attractive in Europe in terms of investments.
The leader of “Right Sector” also paid attention to the challenges that the political force has faced.
“Today “Right Sector” has been targeted; we are attacked on all fronts, are accused of all the sins and absurdities. Simultaneously we are getting hit by Putin’s propaganda and that circles in the new government that seek to leave everything as before, so that the change of the faces would not change the corrupt system of government. I assure you that we will withstand this test as well,” said Dmytro Yarosh. He said that today “Right Sector” legalizes the milestones of its structures, works on the inclusion of its power wing to the government security forces.
“We will not let to “blow” Maidan and the Revolution and repeat the situation of 2005, when only the scenery and the shapes of political actors changed. I feel personally responsible for leading national revolution to a victorious end,” concluded Dmytro Yarosh.
